Bishan Singh Bedi dies at 77; PM Modi, gamers, others specific condolences

With the sudden demise of former Indian cricketing legend Bishan Singh Bedi on 23 October on the age of 77, the sports activities fraternity is in shock.

Commenting on the demise of Bedi, famend historian Ramachandra Guha wrote on X, “Deeply saddened to listen to of the passing of Bishan Singh Bedi. He was an ideal cricketer and a fair higher human being. He was an ethical beacon for all those that knew him.”

BCCI secretary Jay Shah wrote, “Unhappy to listen to the demise of Shri Bishan Singh Bedi. Indian Cricket has misplaced an icon at present.
