New Delhi: Metal Authority of India (SAIL) reported an 8% year-on-year progress in its crude metal manufacturing at 4.667 million tonne (MT) throughout the first quarter of FY24, the ministry of metal stated in a press release.

“Metal Authority of India Restricted (SAIL) has achieved record-breaking efficiency within the first quarter of the monetary yr 2023-24 (Q1 FY24) by way of manufacturing and gross sales,” the ministry stated.

The manufacturing of scorching steel, crude metal, and saleable metal of 5.037 million tonne (MT), 4.667 MT, and 4.405 MT, respectively, marked the most effective ever first quarter outcomes. 

These figures signify a exceptional progress of seven%, 8%, and eight% respectively compared to the earlier greatest, it added.

SAIL additionally attained its highest-ever gross sales efficiency within the first quarter by attaining a gross sales quantity of three.9 MT, thereby marking a progress of round 24% over the CPLY.
