New Delhi: Union minister for highway transport and highways Nitin Gadkari on Monday laid the muse stone for development of ten nationwide freeway (NH) initiatives with a cumulative worth exceeding ₹8000 crore within the Pratapgarh and Deoria areas of Uttar Pradesh, the ministry of highway transport & highways mentioned.
The ceremony, held within the presence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, marked a big step in the direction of enhancing the infrastructure of the state.
In Pratapgarh, 5 NH initiatives price ₹2,200 crore had been unveiled. Notably, the widening of a 43-kilometer stretch of Nationwide Freeway 330 from Pratapgarh to Sultanpur, costing ₹1290 crore, is predicted to cut back journey time between Prayagraj and Pratapgarh by way of Ayodhya.
Moreover, the development of a proposed 14-kilometer bypass in Pratapgarh, estimated at ₹309 crore, will begin shortly. Street security measures, together with the set up of road lights and bus shelters, can even be undertaken on Nationwide Freeway 31 at a value of ₹27 crore.
In response to the ministry, the development of Pratapgarh-Musafirkhana part will speed up the event of cement plant, gasoline plant, bottling plant and dairy milk manufacturing facility industries. Transferring to the Deoria area, Gadkari introduced 5 NH initiatives price ₹6,215 crore. Talking concerning the Deoria challenge, the minister mentioned development of twenty-two km, 4-lane bypass at a value of 1750 crores in Deoria will likely be awarded in August, 2023. He added that the backward areas of Deoria and Gorakhpur will get profit from these initiatives. The minister mentioned connectivity with Bihar can even enhance with these initiatives.
