In an announcement, FADA mentioned that the multi-brand retailers (MBOs) are buying unregistered autos in bulk from sellers and reselling them to clients at discounted charges, greater than the costs supplied by unique gear producers (OEMs) by means of authorised sellers, with none dedication to after-sales service.

Moreover, FADA said that the retailers take pleasure in evasion of GST, revenue tax, issuance of pretend/ undervalued insurance coverage insurance policies, supply of autos with out registration/ HSRP and helmets, leading to income loss on varied fronts.

“We have now raised the difficulty of unauthorised MBOs within the two-wheeler trade, which aren’t licensed as bona fide sellers and promote unregistered autos with none commerce certificates or after-sales providers,” FADA President Manish Raj Singhania said.

This has triggered many authentic two-wheeler dealerships to close down, making their companies unviable, he added.

FADA has additionally reached out to the Maharashtra authorities and the Transport Commissioners of Mumbai and Delhi, urging them to take stringent motion in opposition to these MBOs and guarantee their compliance with trade requirements and laws, it added.
