Coal ministry goals to finish 67 FMC tasks by 2027

New Delhi: The coal ministry plans to finish 67 First Mile Connectivity (FMC) tasks by 2027, with the purpose of lowering highway transportation of coal from mines. Firms reminiscent of Coal India Restricted, Singareni Collieries Firm Restricted, and NLC India Restricted will perform the tasks, which have a mixed coal-loading capability of 885 million tonnes per yr.

The FMC tasks will improve mechanized coal transportation and loading system, providing advantages like lowered guide intervention, faster loading instances, and improved coal high quality. The tasks can even make extra rakes and wagons accessible for transportation, leading to decreased highway visitors and air pollution.
